2. “God Provides…One our way home one evening, it happened to be his last day on one of his “temp” jobs. We were talking about ways to find cash to pay the bills…then we saw people coming out of your building with FOOD! We were down to counting spare change laying around the house and looking for scrap metal on the side of roads in order to go to the grocery store to buy the basic necessities. We decided to stop in. It was hard. We are proud people and it was difficult to ask for help. We left that night with boxes of food. As hard as it was to stop by that night, when we got in the building there was no judgment. Everyone was so friendly! The man loading at the door even had a few pieces of candy for my kids!”

“Yesterday when I brought food to Haven Huis for their food distribution the manager shared this story with us”.
“One of the residents was returning to his low income apartment at Haven Huis. He realized that the only food he had was some rice. He prayed that somehow God would provide food for him. Upon arrival there was a food distribution event in the community room of his complex with food supplied by HFC. He obtained dry, refrigerated, and frozen food. He was very grateful and thanked God and the manager several times for supplying his physical needs”.
Story from an educator at Hamilton Community Schools:
“As I mentioned earlier, the openness of Hungry for Christ's Food Ministry has really helped make a number of our new initiatives available to families. In the past, we have taken part of your Thanksgiving basket program which offers an amazing Thanksgiving meal to families on the long weekend as well as the Backpack program, which provides us with the means to offer healthy snacks to students who come in without eating or drinking. These two programs really help our program to focus on the academic and emotional needs of our students, rather than their physical needs.
Hungry for Christ's Food Ministry program allowed us to offer an opportunity for families, parents and students, to come together during a luncheon this fall to discuss "Human Trafficking". With over 35 participants, we were able to facilitate this activity through the generosity of HFC. We would not be able to offer luncheon on our public school system budget, so we deeply appreciate our partnership.
